Linah Mohohlo

Mrs. Mohohlo has worked for the Bank of Botswana since its inception in the mid 1970's. She has served in a number of capacities including heading the Financial Markets Department where she was responsible for the management of Botswana's foreign exchange reserves. She also worked for the International Monetary Fund in the Africa Department and the Monetary and Exchange Affairs Department.

She serves on boards of major corporations in Botswana and abroad, and was recently appointed Eminent Person by the Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr Kofi Anan, charged with the responsibility of overseeing the Evaluation of the United Nations Agenda for the Development of Africa in the 1990's. Mrs. Mohohlo has recently been awarded the Central Bank Governor of the Year (2001) for Africa and the Middle East by the Financial Time Magazine, The Banker.
